Description

A delightful recipe for Puff Pastry Spirals filled with creamy Crème Fraîche and crispy bacon, perfect for brunch or as a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry
  • 1 cup Crème Fraîche
  • 1 cup cooked Bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium Onion, sautéed
  • 1 cup Cheese (Gouda or Emmental), grated
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Roll the puff pastry on a floured surface to 1/8 inch thick.
  2. Spread a generous layer of Crème Fraîche evenly over the pastry.
  3. Distribute the chopped bacon, sautéed onions, and grated cheese evenly over the Crème Fraîche.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
  5. Roll the dough tightly from one long side to keep the spirals firm.
  6. Cut the roll into 2 cm thick spirals.
  7. Place the spirals on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 200°C for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy the crispy crust and creamy filling.

Notes

These spirals can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge before baking. Try customizing with vegetables or different cheeses.
