- 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
- 2 cups of cheese (mix of mozzarella, cheddar, or alpine cheese)
- 2 onions, chopped
- Fresh herbs (parsley or dill)
- Bacon (optional)
- Mushrooms (optional)
- 2 tablespoons oil
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly for even cooking.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the onions, cooking until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Layer a baking dish with a layer of potato slices, covering the bottom.
- Sprinkle cheese and golden onions in between the potato layers; repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Add fresh herbs, and optional bacon or mushrooms, between the layers for added flavor.
- Finish with a final layer of cheese on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 40-45 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden brown.
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
You can prepare the lasagna a few hours in advance and refrigerate it to enhance flavors. Consider using an air fryer for a crispier top.
